Mesut Yılmaz, born in 1932 in the Abana district of Kastamonu, came to Istanbul at a young age driven by his passion for learning a trade; with the knowledge accumulated from master craftsmen at Karaköy Perşembepazarı, he laid the foundations of his own industrial vision. Together with his wife Sabahat Yılmaz, his greatest moral supporter, the struggle he waged under difficult conditions paved the way for the birth of Yılmaz Redüktör, which today operates on a global scale.
In 1958, their first workshop in Şişhane, equipped with self-produced lathes, drills, and saw machines, marked the first step in a successful transformation extending from machine parts manufacturing to reducer production. Thanks to Mesut Yılmaz's exceptional vision and diligence, today Yılmaz Redüktör has become Turkey's leading and Europe's and the world's respected power transmission systems manufacturer.
